Performer Denies Anti-Vaxxer Stance After Narrating Disputed Coronavirus Film

Liam Neeson has provided his voice to a new documentary that casts doubt on the legitimacy of vaccines and lauds former cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Feature's Provocative Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a popular book published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the health crisis for assertions that Covid was a result of a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.

Her co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with far-right figure the Infowars host. He took to social media praising Neeson's participation in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Denial

The team of Neeson have released a response pushing back against claims that he supports anti-immunization sentiments.

"Everyone can recognize that unethical practices might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be equated to being against vaccines," the statement states. "Neeson never has been, and is not, anti-vaccination. His long work with the UN children's agency highlights his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The statement continued that the actor had no hand in the documentary's narrative and that inquiries about its assertions should be directed to the producers.

Major Themes In the Film

As presented, the script read by Neeson makes several provocative points:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "medical science has become dangerously politicised."
  • RFK Jr is featured saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • It also criticizes Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Regarding pandemic shots, it references a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."

Past Context and Current Disputes

The documentary also references a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the focus of a formal apology by the network for editorial breaches.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr directed the national health agency to alter its long-held position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the documentary, despite a recent study from the WHO reiterating no evidence has been found.

A Past Record of Support

Differing from the film's tone, Neeson has previously expressed firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Two years ago, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary triumph," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's script stating, "This is not the end of our narrative. Rather, it is the start of a new chapter."
